The halls, gymnasium and cafeteria were crowded with students at Wright Elementary to explore different topics of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Students got to explore how electricity flows through objects or fruits like bananas or even other human beings! One parent was in shock in finding out how electric current flowed through his daughter's body to himself to complete a circuit.
Students also explored the water cycle, space, technology and even building a home using cardboard. "I'm glad the school had this night for my child as well as the children of the community to come and spark an interest in science" said one parent.
It is the goal of STEM and Wright Elementary to provide these learning opportunities to students so they may gain interest in science and be ready to apply learned skills in the future.
