3rd Reading and Language Art Teacher

Welcome Students and Parents to 3rd Grade!!!

I am very excited for this year!!

I like to start by introducing myself. My name is Mr. Zapata  I have served in the United States Air Force and I am graduate of The University of Incarnate word. I am excited to have an opportunity to have your student in my class this year.

We learn a lot in 3rd grade and is built around reading. In math, social studies and Science as students we have to read. Reading is Fundamental. Reading is everywhere, students should practice reading everything they see. If one cannot read, they will struggle in today’s society. Reading is required in video games, sports, searching on the internet, on the job and in class. It is important students start reading everything they can see in the world whether, it be signs at the local grocery store or on the road as you are driving. Our children are on tablets and phones make sure they take their time to read it. If a student has an electronic device have them read on it. The more they read the better they become just like in sports. Practice makes you better!!

I have some useful links the students can go and practice reading.
